What is taught
Eight modules, taught at three levels.
Not a careers talk and not a robotics kit. Each module is one of our practices,
translated for a fourteen-year-old, and each one ends with fifteen minutes of a real
practitioner: what they do, what they studied, what they earn, and what they wish they had
known at fifteen. Standards 1–5, 6–10 and 11–12 each get their own deck —

Module 01 — The value chain
What an industry actually is
From ore to shelf. Where a factory sits between a raw material and a customer.

Trace one object in the room — a water bottle, a shoe, a charger — back through every hand that touched it.

Module 02 — Manufacturing excellence
How a factory runs
Flow, takt and the bottleneck. Why a line moves at the speed of its slowest station.

Run a five-station paper-aeroplane line, measure the output, find your own bottleneck, rebalance it, run it again.

Module 03 — Total quality
How we know it is good
Why finding a defect at the customer costs a hundred times what it costs at the machine.

Measure one object with three instruments and three students, and discover the measurement itself disagrees. That is gauge R&R, felt rather than taught.

Why machines stop
Availability, the six big losses, and why the person who runs the machine should look after it.

Run the classroom’s own availability for a week. Late starts, interruptions, equipment that did not work. Compute it. Argue about it.

What a model actually is, and why bad data beats a good model every time.
