Eight modules. Three ages. One factory.

The same eight ideas, taught three different ways — because what a seven-year-old needs from a factory is not what a seventeen-year-old choosing a degree needs from one.

Every module is one of the disciplines our practitioners do for a living, and every one is built around an activity. Nobody learns how a bottleneck works by being told.

Three levels

Scaled to what each age can actually hold

Attention spans, vocabulary and stakes all change enormously between standard 3 and standard 12. So do the decks. The ideas underneath them do not.

Who makes everything?

Almost all pictures, one idea per slide, two activities. A single 45-minute visit that turns “a factory” from an abstract word into something a seven-year-old can describe.

What actually gets taught

Two of these — 5S with the eight wastes, and environmental responsibility — were added at the request of our own practitioners, because they are the two habits that decide whether anything else survives on a real shop floor.

Where a factory sits between a raw material and a customer, and why breaking one link stops everything after it.

How it is taught

Never more than ten minutes without doing something.

A session that is seventy per cent activity is remembered. One that is seventy per cent explanation is not, however good the slides are. Every module in this curriculum is built backwards from an activity.

  • The paper line. Five stations, three minutes, then find the pile and fix it.
  • The shadow board. Draw around every tool. An empty outline is a problem you can see across the room.
  • The waste walk. Follow one person through a real school process with a stopwatch.
  • Three rulers. Three students measure one object and disagree. Nobody was careless.
  • Classroom availability. A week of logging, then a Pareto of your own losses.
  • Break the model. Train a classifier, then poison the data and watch it fail confidently.
  • The energy audit. Walk the school, cost the waste, hand the proposal to the principal.

The senior level

Standards 11 and 12 get the whole picture

Students choosing a degree deserve real numbers rather than encouragement. The Level 3 deck opens with where manufacturing actually is in the world, and it does not flatter India’s position.
